web alanına bir şeyler atarken snapshots klasörüne gözüm çarptı, bir ara ekran görüntüleri alıp atmışım güya zaman zaman atacaktım oraya ekran görüntüleri, ilerde bakınca eğlenceli olacaktır diye ..

tek ekran görüntüsü [0] olsa da eÄŸlenceli oldu, gördüm ki kde3 o kadar da berbat deÄŸilmiÅŸ :P ( kde4′e alışınca gerisi çok dandik geliyor ) tabi bir sürü düzenleme ile ..

bu arada ekran görüntüsünde de görülen buuf simge seti kde4 için de hazırmış [1] firefox 3.5 için de omega [2] adlı buuf simgeli bir set var ..

Daha sıcak bir görünüm [3] de çok kasmadan çıkıverdi böylece :)

Edit: Laptop ile de güzel oldu :D

Have you ever wondered what you need to read a PDF file on Windows ? I know you’re happy on your Linux box doing everything with a few steps, installing applications from your super large repos .. but here’s what i did tonight to read a simple pdf file, costing me 20 minutes and pain.

I knew that the pdf reader thing is “Adobe Reader”, so googled “adobe reader download” which led me to adobe’s site. After clicking “download” button, web site started to install a Firefox plugin (!) “the adobe downloader !”. After installing and restarting firefox, download started on a fancy window, it was a 40MB file which after the download was extracted ! and windows started to configure! the reader after extract, all in the slowest way you could imagine .. And for what ? For reading a N kb file, or picture, or something.

I wouldn’t dare to install this stupid app if only the open source alternatives (on windows of course) had some sense of esthetics, that fonts wouldn’t look like lines we drew in elementary school .. I dont know whats the problem of all these developers, are you trying to put an alternative or have lots of time and decided to write a pdf reader in it ?

As a new psp user, I looked around for the answer, but there were no single/simple/good command to achive this. I knew it had to be really easy thanx to mplayer and mencoder or other foss tools that are capable of doing nearly everything but there were all historical entries that included lots of command line args for tweaking the output video.

What you really need is one line:

Copy your favorite true type font to ~/.mplayer/ as subfont.ttf if you like, and type

$ mencoder -profile psp -o output.mp4 -sub subtitle.srt actualvideo.mp4

This’ll merge your heroes episodes with subtitles, which is what you ( or i ) really need.
See options of mencoder if you want to further tweak the video ( like compressing it more, or changing resolution )
